The Long Walk Home

Dear Fellow Traveler,

We have come to a close here in our journey. Our journey that led us to more than just where our legs could take us. A journey in which we proved that the mental and the physical travel can be just as taxing, and just as rewarding.

We took ourselves on more than just a walk of pavement, but a walk of experience. It was a journey that so many travel, but never STOP

To appreciate in its entirety.

I don't ask for people to learn things on a journey, I don't even expect myself to do so. Expecting something is just foolishness, it leads us to think that everything we are doing has to have some sort of end goal and that what happens in its duration is nothing more than filler for our minds. A place holder to hep us look like more than we are.

I take time to wonder why it is that we walk the way we do. I take time to wonder what stories the ground has to share for us. It's not about where I am going, and it never will be. It is simply just a break away from having to be some where, to be someone

It is my getaway.....

  1. The blog experience this semester has really given me some insight into what I really enjoy about writing, but strongly aim to get better at. Theme.

I enjoy when everything written is very uniform and follows a similar theme like a story. Almost as if the text is building a small town (mine being named Ocean Cove) and I am seeing the characters that are being brought to life within. If the world is built that way, I feel as though the text has become someone close to me almost like a friend or even just a person that I can relate to. It really helps me to get involved with a text if I can feel that way.

If I could relate it to our readings, in Exit Through the gift Shop, it was a sort of theme that the street artists had to give their art in form. I fell the same way, almost as if it is a calling card for each writer to have a style that gives their art form and personality.

I hope to continue blogging in this fashion for a while, and cannot wait to see what becomes of it.
