The Long Walk Home

Dear Fellow Traveler,

We have come to a close here in our journey. Our journey that led us to more than just where our legs could take us. A journey in which we proved that the mental and the physical travel can be just as taxing, and just as rewarding.

We took ourselves on more than just a walk of pavement, but a walk of experience. It was a journey that so many travel, but never STOP

To appreciate in its entirety.

I don't ask for people to learn things on a journey, I don't even expect myself to do so. Expecting something is just foolishness, it leads us to think that everything we are doing has to have some sort of end goal and that what happens in its duration is nothing more than filler for our minds. A place holder to hep us look like more than we are.

I take time to wonder why it is that we walk the way we do. I take time to wonder what stories the ground has to share for us. It's not about where I am going, and it never will be. It is simply just a break away from having to be some where, to be someone

It is my getaway.....

Tread Carefully Traveler

Who says that travel only has to exist in the real world? I for one think we get the most traveling done when our legs are horizontal. The mental journey is a place that we all know and have traveled to, but yet...

haven't
          quite
found out where it is                                                we are.

BUT! Fear not traveler, the reason the greatest travel exists within our very own psyche is that the separation from physical danger allows us to see things we never thought we'd witness in our short lives.

Don't ever be afraid to

Get your feet wet

It's when we travel while resting that we can find out things that don't have to do with what we are limited to by our bodies, but to explore with our minds the very reaches of the universe that we have dreamed of.

It just so happens that it takes place in
a dream.
A place of solitude.
A place to find peace and chaos in harmony.

A place that is strange that we can still call home.

A place that challenges the norms we are so accustomed to.
A place that doesn't go by natural law, and works in its own to show us what we want to see.

Or is it a place that it wants us to see?

Traveler's Prohibited

Hello traveler, along your roads you may find that everything and everyone you see is far from just face value. In fact, I think you'll find that it can be....

very....

dark.
Up
Prohibition won't always be very                                     front about it. In fact the less the public who passes by knows, the better! Was Mumbo Jumbo really all about the Prohibition Era at the time? Or was it just a front to express a situation that was going on behind the curtains?

Was alcohol the real target of prohibition? Or was it something more...human?

This is the light and the dark of travel, when you find yourself in a place with something new to learn, but the something is very sinister. It helps to build us by throwing something at us that aims to bring up down. It's all about the travels that we have made that show us to whether or not we are ready to take on the darker secrets of the world.

Be weary of the roads traveler, you cannot forget what you find.

The Journey

Dear Fellow Traveler, looking back on your past you see a scene of something that recalls a strong memory...

Why is that?

                   What empowers these memories?

How do they fuel you now?

                                                                                                                  What is the next step?

Is it that you, as well as I see things for more than just what they are? Do you take your time a truly pull in your environment and keep it with you to help create an album of visual beauty?

Was it more about the destination, or the journey? You look back on your time gone, but hold it dear as it made you who you are today, and who you will be tomorrow.

The sun in the summer is something dismissed as a inconvenience, but you saw it as a reason. A reason to continue to "eat up" a place and a vision to something more.

And for that I applaud you, you took the time to really
Appreciate a place.

The Destination

I fear that we as travelers are too invested in getting to the destination without experiencing the journey. That the end goal sums up all means made through our travel, but we don't really know what those are. As people, we tend to focus to much on the dream and not the steps to get us to what we want to become, because that is dirty and filled with heartbreak and disappointment.

This man clearly understands my point.

I offer however a different way of viewing, I think the very best of our goals are the steps we take to reach them. The end destination is just a grim reminder that we don't have anything left to work for, we've got what we've wanted. It the actual process that we should be more concerned about, it does hold the very goal we choose to rave so much about, and more importantly can toss it away from us if it so wants to.

I want my world to be filled with travels, destinations are not what I care about, it's the characters in the narrative of my life and the places that I visit that interest me because they in turn decide what kind of person I am going to become. When I focus more on what it is that is around me rather than what is ahead of me I get a much clearer picture if the end of the road is the one I want to keep going for. I could very well see that along this path is nothing that I hoped for, and that thought is what drives me, and also can turn me astray.

I hope that in time people take the opportunity to look around a bit more, I'm not asking anyone to stop and smell the roses, I particularly don't like the smell, I'm just asking that people get more of a sense of what is there when they pass by. It may not always be there when you turn back.
